Once again, the MVL will be one of the toughest leagues around this season. For the past few years, Morgan has been towards the bottom, but they are trying to turn things around this year.

After three straight losing seasons, Morgan is not expected to do a lot in the MVL, but they don't mind their underdog approach. In his fourth year at the helm, head coach Nate Smith thinks this team has the potential to breakthrough. The Raiders had one of their best offseasons and will try to...

The end of the 2012 season was not a good one for the John Glenn Muskies. They played two playoff bound teams and were beaten badly, but a win in the final game of the regular season helped ignite a fire in this group of fish that is still burning bright.

As their annual showdown with Barnesville approaches this Muskie team is hoping to get out of the gates fast and carry that momentum all the way through the 2013 slate.

It's been three years in the making, but Philo football is back and maybe better than ever. This season, the Electrics return an experienced group of upperclassmen and are poised to be contenders in the MVL once again. The only next step for the program...the postseason.

The Electrics put the finishing touches on preparations for their final preseason scrimmage Thursday afternoon. They play Johnstown Friday night on the road. Philo had quite an offseason, with the...

When you have just two wins in the last three seasons, there is a lot to prove. The West Muskingum football team will try to prove themselves this upcoming season. After going winless a year ago, head coach Jeremy Ketcham returns eight upperclassmen and is determined to change the culture of Tornado football.

The team has been hard at work this week in preparation for their final preseason scrimmage Friday against Bishop Rosecrans. That game is set to be played at 7:30 pm at...

The high school football season is just around the corner, and the local landscape is expected to undergo some changes. Thursday, the OHSAA announced a new division realignment plan for the 2013 season. The changes will be effective this fall for schools statewide, and hopes to add more parity to the top divisions. Along with the realignment, a new seventh division will be added to the football lineup.

In a rematch of last year's first-round playoff battle, Danville traveled to Sulsberger Stadium Saturday night to battle Bishop Rosecrans. After a defensive battle through the first three quarters, split up by lightning delay of over an hour, the Bishops pulled away with a pair of long rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win 21-7.
