In a rematch of last year's first-round playoff battle, Danville traveled to Sulsberger Stadium Saturday night to battle Bishop Rosecrans. After a defensive battle through the first three quarters, split up by lightning delay of over an hour, the Bishops pulled away with a pair of long rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win 21-7.

Logan - 0  Sheridan - 6

The Sheridan Generals played their final tune-up game tonight against Logan as they prepare for their week one matchup with Lakewood. Both varsity teams played a full half of football, with only kickoffs and punts being downed at the spot where they were caught. The only score of the game was a 13-yard touchdown run by Sheridan's Corey Cipriano. The defense put on a show...As both teams were unable to move the football effectively...

When Dirk Lincicome became head coach at Philo two years, his ability to get the Electrics to 6-4 the following two years was considered quite a success. But 2012 is different. After a 1-9 season in 2011 and a total of four wins in the previous four seasons, the Morgan Raiders are hoping that the 2012 season will be a season to remember.  First year head coach Nate Smith believes that his team has the talent to be a contender in the MVL and be the surprise team of 2012.  WHIZ's Matt Edwards had a chance to visit Raiders camp this week.

After making the playoffs in four out of five seasons from 2003-2007, the John Glenn Muskies have struggled as of late.  With a combined record of 16-24 in their last four seasons, Coach John Kelley and the Little Muskies are hoping to return to the top of the MVL in 2012.  With the right mix of experienced seniors and talented underclassmen, expect John Glenn to be a force to be reckoned with this season.  They open up their season on August 24th at ...

When the summer began, Tate Leavitt was widely considered one of Ohio's prized jewels at the offensive tackle position and in the end, it was Ohio University that landed the gem.  The 6-foot-7, 295 pound senior from Sheridan High School decided to commit to one of the Mid-American Conferences premier programs following a visit to the school this summer.

"In the long run, OU was definitely best for me," Leavitt said.  "The coaching staff was all over me and...
