When the summer began, Tate Leavitt was widely considered one of Ohio's prized jewels at the offensive tackle position and in the end, it was Ohio University that landed the gem.  The 6-foot-7, 295 pound senior from Sheridan High School decided to commit to one of the Mid-American Conferences premier programs following a visit to the school this summer.

 If there's one thing you need to know about Maysville all-purpose running back Jeremy Willison, it's that he is not afraid of work. Many athletes will tell you they know the value of hard work, few will go ahead and prove it at the college level. National signing day made its way to Rosecrans High School today. Aaron Parry and Zack Hill deciding to play football at division II Walsh University today, in front of their families and friends at Rosecrans High School.

The new year quickly bringing new challenges to the Crooksville football team.

After four years, Dave Rupe deciding to resign his position as head football coach, making his resignation official yesterday. Rupe finished an even 20-20 from 2008-2011, never winning or losing more than six games in any given season. Division II Regional Final-- Gahanna Lincoln High School

Tri-Valley 42 Marion-Franklin 48 (OT)

 It was a 15 point lead, with under three minutes to go, but it was too much time for Marion-Franklin, as they were able to score twice and force overtime against Tri-Valley and eventually win the game.

The game came down, in regulation, to a field goal attempt from Matt Amicone, that was made longer in large part to a delay of game call....

Former Coshocton linebacker Zack Shaw told WHIZ Saturday that he expects to redshirt his first year with the Indiana Hoosiers.

Shaw, the Redskins all-time leading tackler and a former Division IV Defensive Player of the Year, did not see time on the field when IU battled the Buckeyes.  Even still, he says the experience was great.

High School Football

River View 31 - Rosecrans 21

River View ended a seven-game losing streak by pulling off the victory against Rosecrans. 

With the game tied at seven at halftime, the Bishops' Luke Lloyd came right out of the gate and issued a challenge to the Black Bears.  As predicted by a few coaches on the sideline, Lloyd ran the kick back 87 yards for the go-ahead score.

#8 Liberty Center 28 - #9 Ridgewood 14

Liberty Center made the journey from Toldeo starting at 7:30 in the morning, but came off the bus ready to play football. The Tigers made fewer mistakes and walked out of West Lafayette handing Ridgewood their first regular season loss in 28 games.
