A K-9 was brought in to track suspects who forced their way into a Zanesville home Monday evening.

Officers with the Zanesville Police Department were called to a home invasion at 595 Shinnick Circle around 10 p.m. .

"They walked in the residence and demanded for people to get on the floor, right now it doesn't appear as they got anything. They did act as though they had a weapon," says Lt. Tony Coury.

Two Zanesville residents have pleaded guilty to charges in connection with a September home invasion.

Robert Horton,Jr. and Maliekka Harris both appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday.

Horton, Jr. entered guilty pleas to charges of having a weapon under disability and possession of crack cocaine.

Harris pleaded guilty to charges of improper handling of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate an early morning home burglary.

It happened around midnight Tuesday morning at 3235 Old River Road. Sheriff Matt Lutz says three men broke into the home, tied a woman up and committed a theft. Also home at the time were three children.

"Nobody was really injured, there was a small scrape on the female but nobody that had to be treated or go to the hospital for any reason," said Lutz.

Two Zanesville people charged in connection with a home invasion say they are not guilty. Zanesville Police say three people are in custody after an Wednesday morning home invasion. Captain Ken Miller says not a lot of details are being released, but the home invasion happened around 4:00 am at 1628 Owens Street Apartment A. Miller says eight minutes later officers stopped a vehicle and arrested three people. Miller says guns used in the incident were recovered. More information on the incident will be released later Wednesday.

The search continues Monday night for suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in Zanesville. 

Zanesville Police say it happened last Friday evening at 17 Ceramic Avenue.  Detective Sgt. Ric Roush says the residents of the home, which consisted of four adults and one juvenile, reported that four males entered the home all dressed in black, wearing ski masks, hoodies, and gloves demanding money, one of the suspects was armed with a hand gun.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office says deputies are looking for a suspect involved in a home invasion.

It happened a little after 7 p.m. in the vicinity of Mount Hope and Laurel Hill Roads. Not many details are being released yet, but the Perry County Sheriff's Office and the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol say they were called to assist in the incident.

A man who participated in a Zanesville home invasion received his sentence Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Kelly Cottrill sentenced 33-year-old Ryan Viney of Zanesville to a total of seven years in prison for the burglary at 344 Linn Street in February.

Viney pled guilty last month to one count of aggravated burglary with a firearm specification and possession of criminal tools.

A suspect pled guilty Monday for his part in a Zanesville home invasion.

33-year-old Ryan Viney of Zanesville pled guilty to one charge of first-degree-felony aggravated burglary with a gun specification and one change of possession of criminal tools in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Viney was arrested after a February home invasion at 344 Linn Street.

Assistant Muskingum County Prosecutor Ron Welch says they recommend Viney serve nine years in prison.
