 Fire crews responded to a house fire at 151 south 7th St. in downtown Zanesville.

The Zanesville Fire Department was called out at 12:15 Thursday afternoon. Fire Chief, Eric Waltemire said the two-story home was fully involved in flames when crews had arrived and it took them nearly an hour to get it contained. Community ambulance, and Falls Township Fire-Department were also on scene.

Fire crews spent the early Tuesday morning hours battling a house fire on State Route 146.

At least four different departments fought the fire at a vacant two story structure at 6780 State Route 146. It started a little after 1am. The State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.

A local family of five is coping with the loss of their home Monday.

Just Sunday night the Creech family in Frazeysburg lost their home to a fire that crews worked to control for more than five hours. The blaze started on the porch of the home and when father Mark Creech couldn't extinguish it, he called 911. When Frazeysburg, Dresden, and Licking Township Fire Departments arrived the home was fully engulfed and is now considered a total loss. Now the family is working to move on.

 A three story home just outside of Frazeysburg is considered a total loss after a fire earlier Sunday evening.

Crews were called to a structure fire on Dove rd. just after 5 p.m. First Assistant Chief of Frazeysburg Fire Department Rich Pierce said it started on the porch of the home where a space heater was on to keep the family's pets warm. The Cambridge Fire Department spent the early morning of Thanksgiving battling a house fire. 

The fire broke out at 800 North Fifth Street in Cambridge just after 2:30am. 

Firefighters said the story and a half structure will likely be ruled a total loss due to smoke damage throughout the home. 

They believe at this time the fire began in the living room area, but the cause is still under investigation.

The Zanesville Fire Department is investigating an early Monday morning fire. It happened at 6:45 at 1201 Pershing Road. The people in the home were able to escape the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A large house fire occurred at 7796 Old Town Road Saturday evening.

The call for the blaze came in at approximately 10:30 p.m. Captain of the Newton Township Fire Department, Josh Bryan, described the scene upon arrival.

"We were called this evening for a report of a house fire. The house was fully involved when we got here. All occupants were out of the house. We had some heavy fire conditions."

Fire crews responded to the report of a large structure fire at 744 Troon Crossing.

The call for the blaze came in at 7:15 Tuesday evening. We spoke to Washington Township Fire Department Chief Gene Hanning who said the fire was very involved upon arrival at the scene. A house fire was reported at 2420 Crew Avenue Wednesday evening.

The call for the fire was received just before 6:45 p.m. Deputy Fire Chief of the Zanesville Fire Department Eric Waltemire described to us what happened.

"Upon arrival on the scene, we had smoke showing from the house. The crew made entry from the rear and had a pretty quick knock down on it."

Fire crews responded to a house fire at 7720 Baker Road shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Mary Greenfield, who rents the home along with her husband, was in the house when it caught on fire.  She said she was taking a nap after working Black Friday at Kohl's, when one of her dogs, Bailey, tugged on her to wake her up.  She was then able to make it out of the home unharmed, as was the case with her six dogs.  Her husband was not home at the time.  A cat in the home...
