The second day of the Ohio State Track Meet always presents some surprises and today was no different. Athletes who were favored to place did not and others seemingly came out of no where to claim All-Ohio honors.

Coming into the second day Kaylee Antill of Tri-Valley was a strong favorite to earn All-Ohio honors for the second straight year, but the sophmore truly shined bright after a rough start. Antill's first throw in the Division I discus...

Coming off an exciting MVL meet a week ago, the Lady Muskies and Panthers track teams carried that momentum into today's District Track Finals. The Lady Muskies were once again paced by Haley Gregory, who won all four events that she participated in and qualified for the regionals in all four events.

Gregory wasn't the only Muskie to shine though. Emily Brown won the 4x200 meter relay with her teammates Kelsey Knellinger, Taylor Fatheree, and Theresa Kuhns, and she picked up a win...

Last October, senior Zach Hanf nearly died when he collided head-on with a semi truck on Route 31. After 13 surgeries, including a left leg amputation, Zach was forced to adjust. But his love for athletics didn't stop him from competing. In January, just four days after he was fitted for a prosthetic leg, Zach was walking.

This spring, he has been training with Mick Amicone from the Fieldhouse to meet his goals in sprinting and shotput. Amicone and the Adaptive Sports Program of Ohio (...

When Tri-Valley junior Kaleb Davis was diagnosed with osteopetrosis eight years ago, many doctors thought he would never live a normal life. The rare bone disease runs in the Davis family, nine out of the 33 members currently have the condition.

The disease causes the bone marrow to fill in different cavities with calcium. The problem is, too much calcium makes our bones very brittle. There are varying degrees of this condition over a lifetime, but Kaleb's is considered to be...

For the second consecutive week, Haley Gregory of John Glenn was one of the best athletes participating in a track meet. This time she showed her skills to all of Region 7 enroute to totaling 32.5 of the Muskies' 49 points at the meet. With that number the Fish were able to finish second in the overall team standings behind West Holmes who finished first.

Back to Gregory though, she earned first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.02 and then followed that up with wins in...

It took him a few weeks, but finally Cabott Harmon got back to the form that he was use to when he threw the discus. The senior who had a rough couple of weeks leading up to the State Track Meet was able to find the strength to make his best throw in the last meet of his high school career. Harmon was able to qualify for the championship heat, and in his first throw fired a disc 169 feet and 6 inches which was good enough for first place for a short time. Wauson's Todd Christy though was...
