The Zanesville Highway Patrol says one person was seriously injured after an early Monday morning accident on I-70. It happened around 6:30 just east of Zanesville and forced the closing of the eastbound lanes for 90 minutes. Troopers say 24-year-old Brittany Darby of Zanesville was traveling west on I-70 and started to swerve and ended up in the median overturning one time and ended up in the east bound lanes. The Zanesville Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle roll-over accident that closed I-70 Eastbound near the Fieldhouse Fitness Center. Not many details have been released, but it happened around 6:30 Monday morning and involved an SUV. A dispatcher says the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says it’s still investigating the accident that shut down I-70 Wednesday night for around 7 hours. Troopers say it happened near Norwich in the westbound lanes after a Fed Ex Truck drove off the highway and landed in a creek. The Cambridge Post of the Highway Patrol says westbound traffic is restricted after an early Thursday morning truck fire.

The Patrol says it happened just east of I-77 near Cambridge and for a short time shut down both westbound lanes.

A dispatcher says one lane of westbound I-70 is open as crews clear the scene. The highway is restricted from I-77 to State Route 285. There were no injuries reported.

The incident happened around 7:30 am.

The Highway Patrol is reporting that I-70 westbound is closed early Thursday morning after an accident. It happened just west of Zanesville and reportedly involved two semi-tractor trailers. One was reported to be engulfed in flames. No word on injuries in the accident that happened just before 1:30 a.m. Traffic is being re-routed off I-70 while the scene is investigated and cleared. The interstate is expected to re-open around 7:30 a.m. No other details have been released.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that Interstate 70 is now reopen to traffic.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is releasing more details from a Monday morning accident on I-70.

The Sheriff says it happened in a construction zone near the Adamsville Road exit just before 5:30 a.m. Lutz says that a pick-up truck driven by Delbie Harding of Zanesville was traveling west on I-70, went out of control, crossed the median and struck a mini-van traveling eastbound. The State Highway Patrol responded to a single car accident on I-70 East Bound, mile marker 152,  at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th.

On Saturday Afternoon, a New York woman was injured after her car overturned, leaving her trapped at a rest stop on Interstate 70.

According to the Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, shortly after 3 p.m., Lynda Weaver, 63 was traveling westbound on I-70 near mile marker 161 when she went off the right side of the road.

Zanesville Police are on the scene of a one vehicle accident Wednesday morning.

The accident happened minutes before 7 a.m. on the Maple Avenue on ramp to Interstate 70 going eastbound.

One car was reported on its side. At least one person was reported to be out of the vehicle.
