The Ohio Department of Transportation says the passing lane of I-70 eastbound between Underwood Street and the Hamline Bridge will be closed for maintenance work. O-dot says, weather permitting, the lane should re-open by 1:00 pm this (Friday) afternoon.

A portion of Interstate 70 westbound was restricted to one lane while crews tended to a two-vehicle accident.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the 160 mile marker, near the city of Zanesville.
Zanesville Post State Trooper Williams says the woman was driving in the passing lane when she side-swiped an SUV traveling in the other lane. He says she then lost control of the vehicle, went off the right side of the road, and hit a ditch.
There have been multiple accidents along Interstate 70 over the past few months that have completely shut down the heavily traveled roadway.
ODOT says it has been looking into what may be causing the crashes, and so far, the staff hasn't reached a conclusion.
