The Zanesville Police Department says I-70 Westbound is closed after an accident Wednesday morning. Police says they are investigating a two-vehicle accident on the 6th Street on-ramp to I-70 Westbound that has forced Police to shutdown the Westbound side of the interstate until the scene can be cleared. There is no word on how long the highway will be closed.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says I-70 westbound is closed in Guernsey County due to an accident. O-dot says it happened five mile west of State Route 800. Crews are on the scene and expect it to be re-opened to one lane at around 10:30 a.m.
Traffic was backed up on Interstate 70 near New Concord on Friday Afternoon following a roll over accident.

The Granville Post of the Highway Patrol says I-70 Eastbound is closed near the Gratiot Exit near the Licking-Muskingum County line due to a semi accident that caused a diesel fuel spill. A detour is set up. The Ohio Department of Transportation says one lane of eastbound traffic will be re-opened at 7:45 a.m. The other lane is expected to be re-opened at 9:30 a.m.
Troopers from the Zanesville Post responded to the scene of an accident around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon when a Ford Explorer carrying two people was driving westbound on I-70 near mile post 166. The SUV rolled over multiple times and ejected the two people in the vehicle.
