The State Highway Patrol said Interstate 70 westbound is closed Wednesday morning near the Gratiot exit after a semi rolls and catches on fire.

Troopers said motorists can expect the lanes to remain closed until at least 1pm as a diesel spill occurred on the bridge and the Ohio Department of Transportation assess damage done to the bridge.

Already traffic is backed up nearly two miles.

The State Patrol is asking motorists to take US 40 to SR 668 until the can get back...

The Ohio Department of Transportation is alerting motorists of an upcoming ramp closure on Interstate 70 in Muskingum County.

ODOT says starting Saturday at 3:00 a.m. the State Route 83 Eastbound I-70 on ramp will be closed so that crews can make necessary concrete repairs as part of the I-70 resurfacing project.

The ramp will be closed until Sunday at 3:00 a.m.

Message signs are in place letting motorists know about this one night closure and...

The State Highway Patrol says an accident involving a dump truck has closed Interstate 70 East at the Kirkersville Exit.

A dispatcher with the Granville Post says the accident happened just after 3:00 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say a dump truck carrying gravel crashed and ended up on its side spilling its load.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation are currently on the scene trying to clear the roadway.

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says there were no serious injuries in the Wednesday evening accident and  I-70 is open to traffic at the scene of the accident -- west of the Gratiot Exit. -- ***UPDATED


Authorities are on the scene of multiple accidents on Interstate 70 West near the Gratiot Exit.

The passing lane is closed at this time but the right lane is still open.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 in that area are backed up due to emergency...

The Ohio Department of Transportation says the passing lane of
I-70 eastbound between Underwood Street and the Hamline Bridge will be closed for maintenance work. O-dot says, weather permitting, the lane should re-open by 1:00 pm this (Friday) afternoon.

The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 5 Deputy Director Karl D. Newman announces the passing lane of Interstate 70 eastbound between Underwood Street  and the Hamline Bridge in Zanesville will be restricted for maintenance work.

 Weather permitting the lane will re-open by 1:00 p.m Friday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is alerting motorists of traffic problems on Interstate 70 in Licking County.

ODOT reports that  the I-70 westbound driving lane is restricted near State Route 310 due to a semi-rollover.

The entrance ramp from State Route 310 to I-70 is also closed.

It's not known how long the ramp will be closed.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says the I-70 westbound driving lane is closed near the 70/77 split.

ODOT says the ramp from Interstate 77 to Interstate 70 West is also closed.

Traffic traveling on I-77 should use exit 42 to go north.

According to the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol, the accident involves a Coshocton County Sheriff's deputy cruiser and a truck.

A portion of Interstate 70 westbound was restricted to one lane while crews tended to a two-vehicle accident.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the 160 mile marker, near the city of Zanesville.

Zanesville Post State Trooper Williams says the woman was driving in the passing lane when she side-swiped an SUV traveling in the other lane. He says she then lost control of the vehicle, went off the right side of the road, and hit a ditch.

She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital...

There have been multiple accidents along Interstate 70 over the past few months that have completely shut down the heavily traveled roadway.

ODOT says it has been looking into what may be causing the crashes, and so far, the staff hasn't reached a conclusion.

"One accident is a concern. We've had over 3,000 accidents already this year in work zones. So, we want to try to pull that number down. We want to try to make sure people are informed that they slow down. They look up...
