The State Highway Patrol is investigating the death of an inmate with ties to Guernsey County.

Sergeant Mark Herren, from the Lebanon Post, said 37-year-old James Dunikowski, of Byesville, was found dead in his cell at the Lebanon Correctional Institution just after midnight on Friday.

He was alone at the time.

According to Guernsey County Court Records, Dunikowski was serving a life sentence with parole in 25 years, for the January 2011 death of Donald Kay at a Lake Seneca...

The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office said a Buffalo woman has entered a plea in connection to the January death of a Seneca Lake man.

According to Sheriff Mike McCauley, Sara Willey entered pleas of guilty to complicity to commit murder, complicity to commit aggravated robbery, complicity to commit grand theft, attempted theft of a firearm and complicity to commit having weapons while under disability.

She will be sentenced in Guernsey County Common Pleas Court on Aug....

A Tennessee man facing charges in a shooting death in Guernsey County if found guilty.

36-year-old James Dunakowski was convicted of aggravated robbery and aggravated murder in the death of Donald Kay. Both charges contained gun specifications as well as repeat violent offender specifications.

Kay was killed in his Seneca Resorts home on January 29, 2011 and found several days later.

Two people charged in connection with Guernsey County's first murder of 2011 appeared in court today for a bond hearing.

Court officials say bond was set at $500,000 for both 24-year-old Sara Willey of Buffalo, Ohio and 36-year-old James Dunikowski Junior of Tennessee.

They are charged with the shooting death of Donald Kay in his home at Seneca Lake Resorts on January 29th.
