 The Animal Shelter's Pet of the Week, Smokey, is in need of a forever home.

The Animal Shelter is having discounted adoption fees for 15 felines in need of families.

These pets of the week have been at the shelter for almost three months and Executive Director Jody Murray said these cats need to move onto their forever homes soon.

The local Animal Shelter is doing its part to cut down on the homeless feline population July 2.

61 male cats were neutered in Zanesville. Cats were checked in throughout the day and they also received discounts on vaccinations.
