In recent years in New Concord, it's been three years off and three years on for the Muskies when it comes to playoff appearances. From 2005-2007, John Kelley's group were battling in the post season. The past three years, they have fallen short. If the trend holds, this year should mean a return to the playoffs, but the Muskies aren't relying solely on the past to dictate their future. JT Raymond files this report.

Aaron Bates was one of the best punters in college football last year, and even if he didn't hear his name called at the NFL draft, that wasn't a guarantee the John Glenn graduate wouldn't get his shot at the pros. Today, he got that chance.

Bates agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers to head to Latrobe and take part in camp. The Steelers do have a punter in Daniel Sepulveda, but he has missed half of his professional career due to injury and is set to become a free agent....

NASA's 135th and final space shuttle launch is set for Friday, this comes at a time when a national hero and astronaut from New Concord will celebrate his 90th Birthday.
