A letter written by Mercury astronaut Virgil "Gus" Grissom brings in thousands of dollars in an on-line auction site. 

The letter from Grissom to his mother sold for $13,155 on the site run by RR Auction in Amherst, New Hampshire.

 It seems not everyone was excited about New Concord Native John Glenn becoming the first man to orbit the earth.

After the recent removal of a religious memorial at John Glenn High School, one local T-shirt shop decided to take a stand.

The owners of Four Season Graphics say they wanted to turn a negative event for the community into a positive one by selling shirts as a fundraiser for Christ's Table. Hundreds of community members came out to purchase the Christian themed t-shirts and show their support to the high school.

Earlier this afternoon the OHSAA released their official final rankings for football teams in the state of Ohio. That means the playoffs are now set and here are the pairings for the first round of the High School Playoffs:

Division II Region 5:

St. Charles (7-2) at Zanesville (10-0) at Sulsberger Stadium

Division III Region 9:

Sheridan has had one of the best cross country seasons of anyone in the MVL and the area and today one of their own earned the ultimate prize. Senior Matt Bromley who has won the District and Regional Race capped off the trifecta winning the State Meet's race today.
