The Kiwanis Club of Zanesville is preparing for its 4th Annual Corporate Pinewood Derby.
About 25 local businesses will be sponsoring 25 pinewood derby cars at this Thursday's event. Kevin Pinson, derby chairman for the Kiwanis Club, says the club got the idea for the event from local cub scout packs a few years ago. Each business will be given a car kit and can choose to either build the car themselves or have it built by starlight industries.
The Kiwanis Club of Zanesville will be hosting a Pinewood Derby next month. The third annual derby is sponsored by Bolin-Dierkis Funeral Home and will be held at The Knights of Columbus Sunrise Center on April 14.

Today was Kiwanis Club's annual children's Christmas party hosted at the Knights of Columbus. The event was for 60 children from Zanesville City Schools, who got to enjoy a break from classes with a pizza party, a visit from Santa and of course, presents!

The Kiwanis Club of Zanesville is asking for your diaper donations.
The service club is conducting a month-long effort to collect diapers for Young Lives, a support group and mentoring program for teen mothers.

Members of Zanesville's Kiwanis Club will be working for peanuts this weekend.
As part of the club's annual peanut sale, members will be handing out packets of peanuts in exchange for donations. President of Kiwanis Bob Davidson said this fundraiser has been helping children for over 20 years.
