One grocery chain is using their day at the fair to help a local organization.

Wednesday, August 14 is Kroger Day at the Muskingum County Fair. Those that bring a 14.5 or 15.5 ounce can of Kroger brand corn, green beans, mixed vegetables or peas between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. will get in free.

All the canned goods collected will go to Christ's Table.

A local business gets into the Christmas spirit to help those less fortunate in our area.

As a Christmas gift Pizza Cottage in Zanesville donated dozens of pizzas to Christ's Table and while those enjoying the meal were helped it also allowed the workers and volunteers a break.

"It is wonderful because it's hard with your staff and volunteers working every holiday, so when somebody calls and makes an offer to bring you 50 pizzas and you don't have to cook that's great...

Going Green and buying organic not only helps the environment, but encourages a healthier lifestyle as well.
