Local law enforcement had to channel their inner cowboy Thursday afternoon to corral four escaped horses.

It is unclear how the horses escaped, but they stopped to munch on grass on Ridge Avenue near the Zane Trace Federal Credit Union. Officers and deputies created a barrier to keep the horses out of the flow of traffic. A trailer was called out to load up the horses and take them somewhere safe. Law enforcement is trying to locate the owner of the horses.

As you travel to visit family and friends this holiday weekend, you will see more cop cars on the roadways.

Zanesville Post Commander, Lieutenant Chad Neal, says officers want to have a more visible presence to help people make it to their destinations safely.

After the death of a Captain in the Preble County Sheriff's Office from complications from H1N1, law enforcement officials are saying they should be part of the Tier One priority group.

In Muskingum County only first responders received the H1N1 vaccinations. First responders being EMTs and firefighters, leaving out everyone in law enforcement.
