 The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Central Ohio chapter celebrates the people behind the cause tonight.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held their Light The Night Walk Thursday evening.

Nearly 500 walkers joined together at Ohio University Zanesville Campus to walk for the same great cause--to fund the research of blood cancer. Tim Hamburger, Executive Director of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, told us a little bit more about tonight's walk.

Red, white and gold balloons filled Ohio University Zanesville to bring awareness to a serious disease.

Thursday was the 8th annual Light The Night Walk. The event is a part of larger nationwide mission to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The funds raised will go towards education and research initiatives that doctors hope one day will lead to a cure.
