 Authorities located a missing Licking County woman. 

The Licking County Sheriff's Office said shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday an elderly resident of Refugee Road wandered away from home on foot in an unknown direction. 

A family member was unable to locate her and called authorities.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office is currently experiencing some interruption in phone service.

Officials say some calls are coming in through the non-emergency phone lines to their dispatchers, however some people said they cannot get through and they get a recording that all circuits are busy.

Windstream has been contacted and crews have been working on a cut fiberoptic line that services the area. The line also services AT&T and Verizon cell service.

A student at Watkins Memorial High School in Etna Township was arrested Wednesday afternoon after making threats to shoot students the next day.

According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, a member of the high school faculty called police to report the 15 year old male, who was making threats to retrieve a .22 caliber weapon and shoot students at the school on Thursday.

A man who robbed a bank in Kirkersville Tuesday said he just wanted to go back to jail, a day after he was released.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old Robert Fraizer robbed the Park National Bank on East Main Street around 2:15 Tuesday afternoon. Authorities in Licking County have one person in custody in connection with a vandalism case at Watkins Memorial High School.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office reports that on Tuesday, four males entered the school and vandalized it.

School officials noticed the damage the next day and also discovered that multiple electronic devices were stolen from the school.

Authorities were able to identify one of the suspects through the school's surveillance system.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office responded to a pipe bomb situation Thursday morning just before 10 a.m.

Deputies said they were called to 6487 Waktins Road in Pataskala, where a property owner was cleaning a house trailer behind the residence. The trailer had recently been vacated and property was left behind.

In a press release the sheriff's office said that around 11a.m. Wednesday, Gary Jones brought a device that resembled a WWII era hand grenade to the sheriff's office for disposal.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting death of a teen that occured in Newark late Saturday night.

According to the sheriff's office, Cody Williams, 23 of Hebron told them he was handling a weapon when he accidentally shot 19-year-old James Ballman at around 9 p.m.

The shooting occurred in an apartment building near the Burning Tree Golf Course near Ridgely Tract Road.

Authorities in Licking County are on the look out for an armed robbery suspect.

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the BP Duke Gas Station on Jacksontown Road in Thornville.
