An unfortunate accident for Linda Regula, the Democratic Candidate for Muskingum County Commissioner this weekend has her in the hospital.

Regula attended her granddaughter's wedding Saturday, and immediately following the ceremony, she was lining up for pictures in the church's basement when she didn't see a raised portion of the floor and fell to the ground breaking her hip.

Candidates seeking local, state and national office took part in a public forum at the John McIntire Library Sunday.

There is one open Muskingum County Commissioners' seat. And incumbent James Porter has one challenger, Linda Regula. In his campaign Porter is stressing job creation throughout the county.

The Y-Bridge Arts Festival wrapped up today with art, food, live music and a global exposition.

The Y-city was also a host to 16 artists from china this weekend. The artists came to see the local art here in Muskingum County and to showcase their own. Co-director Linda Regula said the festival features a wide variety of art.

Muskingum County will soon have a new candidate for county commissioner.

Once the proper paperwork is filed later this week, Linda Regula is slated to replace Grant Hutcheson as the Democratic nominee to face off against incumbent Republican Jim Porter this fall.

The 6th Annual Y Bridge Festival is looking for artists to take part in their event this August 1st and 2nd. 

The new deadline for artists to register for the event is April 30th. New artists will be juried in. Artists who have participated in the previous five festivals are automatically invited.

Two local organizations are working together to bring beauty to our area through a combined art project.

The Muskingum Valley Garden Society's Spring Garden Symposium is coming up on March 1 at the Zane State -OUZ campus. Each year the group has rain barrels up for auction. This year they decided to work with ten artists from the Artist's Colony to decorate the barrels.

Planning for the 6th annual Y Bridge Arts Festival is already underway and organizers need your help.

This year the festival will take place downtown at Zane's Landing Park on August 1st and 2nd. There will be 60 artists, local bands and food vendors throughout the event and volunteers are needed to provide the best experience for locals and visitors.

The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is about nine months away, but planning has already begun.

The 2014 festival will be held at Zane's Landing. Co-director of the festival, Linda Regula, created the festival back in 2009. For the first three years it was held on the Y-Bridge, then in 2012 it was held at Zane's Landing and this past August, it was held at Colony Square Mall. Although the festival won't be on the bridge itself, Regula says she's happy it's back downtown.
