 A house fire occurred at 116 Luck Avenue in Zanesville Wednesday evening.

The call came in at approximately 6:40PM. We spoke to Assistant Fire Chief for the Zanesville Fire Department, Robert Long, who gave us an overview of what happened.

An on-duty Zanesville Police Officer was transported to the hospital Friday night around 10:30.

It happened at the intersection of Luck Avenue and Indiana Street. According to Sgt. Chris Phipps, a red truck ran a stop sign and struck the passenger side of Ptl. Jeremy Barnhart's cruiser. The crash drove both the cruiser and the truck into the yard of a home.

Zanesville Police said an early Friday morning fire is under investigation.

Lt. Bill Shaw said that around 3a.m. they believe someone set a parked truck on fire on Luck Avenue.

Police are trying to determine if the incident was a random act or the owner of the vehicle was targeted.

Lt. Shaw said the owner of the vehicle does not know why anyone would do that to him.

Police continue to search for a suspect.

Several shots were fired Tuesday night on Luck Avenue in Zanesville.

Authorities were called to the scene in front of 163 Luck around 10 p.m.

"We responded to this area in reference to shots fired with possible victim. Upon our arrival we located some evidence that suggested there was a shooting, but we have as yet to locate any suspects," says Sgt. Chris Phipps, Zanesville Police Department.

An autopsy will take place Friday for a 27-year-old Zanesville man who was shot multiple times Wednesday.

Zanesville Police Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says that Dajuan D. McKenzie passed away Thursday evening at Grant Hospital in Columbus as a result of the shooting.

McKenzie was shot near the intersection of Ohio Street and Luck Avenue. Details of the shooting and the investigation won't be released. The police continue to look for a dark blue 1984 Chevy Monte Carlo...

Zanesville Police investigate the shooting of a local man.

Lt. Bill Shaw said shortly after 11pm Wednesday the department received multiple 911 calls about shots fired in the Luck Avenue/Ohio Street area.

When officers arrived they found a 27-year-old male had been shot. He was flown to Grant Medical Center where he's in critical condition.

Lt. Shaw said investigators continue to follow up on leads and that a dark colored SUV was seen possibly leaving the scene.

A man arrested after a Luck Avenue drug bust appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday.

22-year-old Mason Somers of Zanesville pled not-guilty to seven counts. They include two felony counts of trafficking in marijuana and three felony counts of possession marijuana, mushrooms and cocaine, as well as two misdemeanor charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Several people were arrested tonight after a drug bust by the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.

As a result of  a multi-week investigation, authorities executed a search warrant around 7:30 Thursday at 458 Luck Avenue in Zanesville. Six people were arrested at the home, five men and one women.
