The Ohio Bobcats finally opened up the home portion of their schedule Saturday night, taking down Idaho 36-24. Bobcats starting quarterback Derrius Vick helped guied Ohio to a 17-0 lead before getting hurt and not returing. JD Sprague entered the game in his play and filled in well, going 8-13 for 167 yards. The Bobcats arguably had more to play for Tuesday, but the Golden Flashes went out strong in their final game this season. Ohio took a 6-3 lead, but Kent State outscored them in the final three quarters to win 44-13 at Peden Stadium.

The Bobcats (6-5, 3-4 MAC) postseason hopes took a major hit, but they are still alive for a bowl bid with a win next week against UMass at home. Kent State's (4-8, 3-5 MAC) season came to a close with their second straight victory.

Therapy dogs share a special gift of comfort for both children and adults.

In Newtown, Connecticut dogs are being used to help the community and children heal after last week's tragedy.

Here in Muskingum County, there's also a group of therapy dogs at work. One of those is Mac. Through the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center, Mac, sits with children while they read.

Michigan State 10 - Ohio State 7

Zanesville native and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio can finally say he's beaten Ohio State.  In four previous attempts, the former Buckeye defensive coordinator was unable to pick up a victory.

Saturday, in the Horseshoe, his Spartans were the better team.  Michigan State recorded 9 sacks, completely shutting down Ohio State's offense on the way to a 10-7 win in each team's Big Ten opener.
