Family and friends remembered a life that ended too soon Wednesday evening.

Last year we told you about Mariah Williams who lost her battle to stage 3 brain cancer on October 26th of 2013. Wednesday, her family and friends celebrated what would have been her 18th birthday with a candlelight vigil. Mariah's friends told us about her personality and her loyal nature. Breanna said,

A football game took place to honor the memory of a local girl who's life was taken too soon.

Sunday at Sulsberger Stadium, the Zanesville River Monsters played against the Mid-Ohio Falcons to raise money for the family of Mariah Williams. Williams was a zanesville student who passed away this past October after a brave battle with brain cancer. The men who play for the the Ohio Football League Semi Pro Team, were excited to give back to their community in a big way.

Family and friends gathered together to mourn a life taken too soon Sunday evening.

As we reported Saturday, 17-year-old Mariah Williams passed away from stage 3 brain cancer early Saturday morning. She was diagnosed earlier this year and right before her birthday on October 8th, she was moved to hospice, where loved ones celebrated her birthday with a candlelight vigil. Family, classmates and friends of Mariah Williams, mourn as she lost her battle with brain cancer Saturday.

The Zanesville High School student passed away early this morning after fighting the stage 3 cancer for several months. A powerful image was to be seen outside of the Morrison House Hospice and Palliative Care Tuesday evening.

Friends, family and classmates of Mariah Williams came out for a candlelight vigil to celebrate her 17th birthday as she continues to battle brain cancer at the Morrison House.
