A Zanesville man is going to prison for a stabbing incident in Muskingum County. 

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 34-year-old Brett Mayle was sentenced to two years in prison for a February stabbing incident at the Disabled American Veterans Center on Moxahala Avenue. 

He was originally charged with attempted murder and a second count of felonious assault but those two charges were dropped at sentencing.

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident this past weekend in Zanesville.   34-year-old Brett Mayle is facing one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault in a Sunday morning incident at the Disabled American Veterans Center on Moxahala Avenue. A Zanesville man is sentenced Monday on sex charges.  37-year-old Jerome Mayle plead guilty earlier this year to three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance.  Muskingum County Common Please Court Judge Kelly Cottrill sentenced Mayle to three years in prison and classified him as a Tier II Sex Offender which means he must register every 180 days for 25 years after he is released from prison.  According to the Prosecutor’s Office...
