Maysville High School students got a few minutes away from the classroom Monday to get a lesson of another kind.

That lesson being to avoid distracted driving. Two local volunteer fire departments and area law enforcement agencies set up a head on collision in the school's parking lot.

 Students from Maysville High School's service learning class took a break from school Friday morning to help out the Salvation Army.

Police officers responded to a call around 10:45 p.m. Monday night about a Maysville High School bus that was coming back from a graduation trip and was shot at near the 200 block of Brighton Boulevard.

Sheriff Lutz says three 17-year-old Maysville High School students are in custody for playing a prank on a friend involving air-soft pellet guns. Young girls from all around the area showed off their dancing and twirling skills at Maysville High School to raise money for The American Cancer Society. Girls from 3-18 years old performed various dance routines for over 100 spectators.

The pro soccer team coming to Muskingum County is gearing up for their nearing season.
