Young girls from all around the area showed off their dancing and twirling skills at Maysville High School to raise money for The American Cancer Society. Girls from 3-18 years old performed various dance routines for over 100 spectators.

"The people that are here today go to a lot of competitions like this during the year and so from the time they're a tiny beginner to an advanced dancer, they can come and compete," said event organizer, Pat Payne.

The pro soccer team coming to Muskingum County is gearing up for their nearing season.

The Zanesville Athletic Futbol Club is affiliated with U.S. Soccer and is in the National Premiere Soccer League. So far, the team has had two tryout sessions, resulting in six players signing. They have another try out scheduled for March 24th at 4 PM.

A Maysville teen enters a plea in a bomb threat case.

The 13-year-old was in juvenile court, Monday, and entered a plea of denial to charges of inducing panic.

Detention Superintendent Daniel Kieffer said that the teen will undergo evaluations before he goes before the court again.

The bomb threat January 15, placed Maysville High School in a lock down for several hours while the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office conducted a sweep of the building.

A small group of Maysville High School students were threatened by a man after getting off the bus Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened on Pembroke avenue in South Zanesville. South Zanesville Police Chief Eric Finley says the father of two of the children told police that the students were chased from the bus stop. The suspect, whose name is not being released, also threw a brick at the juveniles, but did not strike them. Chief Finley says the incident is concerning.

Sudden cardiac arrest takes about 300,000 lives every year, but Genesis is trying to lower that statistic.

The healthcare system is donating 18 automated external defibrillators to 15 area school districts.  Chest Pain and Heart Failure Coordinator Cathy Huggins said cardiac arrest can strike anyone without warning.

A weekend string of car vandalism seems to have targeted multiple Maysville High School students.

"There was glass everywhere, so I mean the truck was un-drivable, he couldn't even drive the vehicle," says Kim Morris.

Maysville students are taking aim for a national competition.

Proud parents and members of the community stopped by Maysville High School Sunday afternoon for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to help send the Maysville archery team to nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. Coach, Chris Skinner, says the team is made up of an impressive crop of students.

Local students braved the cold Friday morning to make sure everyone has food on the table this holiday season.

Maysville High School students are collecting money and non perishable items for their "Holiday Helping Hands" campaign. Today they collected donations outside pick and save in south Zanesville. The campaign started Wednesday and they have already collected more than 350 canned goods.
