According to the Zanesville Police Department at approximately 8 p.m. Friday night officers responded to call from the Gulf Station on Maysville Pike. Employees of the gas station told police that a white male wearing all black attempted to steal money from the register. Traffic was at a stand still following a two vehicle accident on Maysville Pike on Saturday Afternoon.

The State Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 3:30 p.m. a driver of a pick-up truck was given a citation for failing to yield at a stop sign, which lead to the vehicle crashing into a near by Jeep.

Community Ambulance, Newton Township and the South Zanesville Fire Department responded to the scene of an accident just after 10 a.m. on Friday. According to Trooper Samuel Hendricks of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Zanesville woman was pulling out of a hair salon when she failed to stop and struck a car on Maysville Pike.

The Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle accident on the Maysville Pike.  It happened around 10:15 near Panther Drive.  At least one person is trapped inside a vehicle and is being cut free by the “jaws of life”.  South Zanesville and Newton Township fire departments also responded to the scene of the accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the names and conditions of the victims in Sunday's three car injury accident.

Troopers report the green Chevy Silverado truck, that was connected to a camper trailer, was driven by Joseph Gerger, of Madison Ohio. Around 5 p.m. Sunday night an injury accident involving three vehicles occurred on Maysville Pike U.S. Route 22 that shut down traffic for hours and sent many to the hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that a green Chevy Silverado truck, that was connected to a camper trailer, came through the intersection at U.S. Route 22 and State Route 345 and collided with two Washington County women driving motorcycles.

Around 5 pm, the police scanner alerted WHIZ to an injury accident on Maysville Pike, US Route 22, near State Route 345. Two motorcycles and a camper collided sending four people to the hospital and one of those by medflight. No report of their conditions.

WHIZ has a team on the scene. Not many details have been released yet. Route 22 was closed for several hours to clear the wreckage and to perform investigations, but it has now been reopened. We will release more...

A motorcyclist dies following a crash in South Zanesville.

It happened around noon on Maysville Pike near Coconis Furniture.  South Zanesville Police Chief Eric Finley said a J&R Electric truck collided with a motorcycle that was part of a funeral procession.

"We just talked with the witnesses," said Finley.  "The State Highway Patrol is assisting me with documenting the accident scene.  We'll talk to more witnesses and the other driver....

Road conditions cause a crash that sent two people to the hospital and shut down part of a Zanesville roadway Tuesday night.

Around 8:15 p.m., the Zanesville Police Department received a call that a northbound Buick and a southbound Blazer collided at the railroad underpass on the Maysville Pike. 

According to Patrolman Jeremy Barnhart, there was an oily substance on the road that caused the crash.

Two people were sent to the hospital following an accident on the Maysville Pike Friday afternoon.

South Zanesville Police Chief Eric Finley says it happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Maysville and West Main street, in front of Campbell's Foodland.
