Applications are coming due for the Muskingum County Community Foundation's Spring grant competition.

Non-profit organizations dealing with the arts, education or recreation are eligible to apply for the grant. Foundation CEO Brian Wagner said several thousand dollars will be given out.

The holiday season brings many things, and the Muskingum County Community Foundation is striving to get applications for scholarships.

Each year the Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to seniors in high school. Director of College Access Programs at the Community Foundation, Heather Sands, could not put a number on the amount of scholarships they offer, but said there are scholarships that are applicable to anyone.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation has a new Chief Executive Officer and it’s someone you already know. Scholarship Central at the Muskingum County Community Foundation has their own "March Madness" going on this week.

Next Tuesday, April 1st is the deadline for those students wishing to apply for scholarship opportunities. The MCCF has extended their hours from 4 to 7 PM for this Wednesday and Thursday, as well as next Monday and Tuesday. No appointments necessary.

A young Zanesville man that was taken too soon is remembered through a fundraiser set up by his loving parents.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation is having its 27th annual Groundhog Day Fundraiser.

Executive Director David Mitzel says the event has been a success in the past and he expects the same this year. On January 27th, guests can enjoy silent and live auctions and food from 12 different caterers. Mitzel says they generally raise 45-thousand dollars in one evening.
