Thursday Miss Muskingum Valley held a wine tasting to benefit local animals.
Heidi Negron hosted the event at the Zanesville Country Club, with all proceeds going to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.

Friday was the first night of competition in the Miss Muskingum Valley and Miss Muskingum Valley Outstanding Teen pageants.
The 26 contestants competed in swimwear, eveningwear and talent competitions. The preliminary swimwear winners were Heidi Negron and Stephanie Beltz. In evening wear it was Alyssa Phillips and Stephanie Beltz, and in talent preliminary winners were Kylie Johnson and Krystle Formosa.
