It’s a big day for a Morgan County Company.  Governor John Kasich was in McConnelsville for the announcement of an expansion by Miba Sinter. The company is located on State Route 60 North and is a manufacturer of auto parts. Officials from Miba were present to take part in the celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony. Governor Kasich says that the expansion of a company like this one, will bring McConnelsville jobs and the well being of families.

It started as a way to help a family in need, but after 10 years and many memories, the "Smitty Shootout" finally came to an end. WHIZ sports reporter J.T. Raymond caught up with the tournament organizers--including brainchild Brandon Smith--to look back on all of the great times the 3-on-3 basketball tournament had to offer.

The Morgan County Sheriff Office is reporting that at around 1:30 p.m. Friday Afternoon the Malta Branch of North Valley Bank was robbed. Deputies says the suspect entered the bank and demanded money.

The man was described as wearing a skull mask, blue jacket with a light stripe on the sleeve, blue jeans, dark shoes, and brown jersey goves. The suspect is about 6 feet tall and left the bank on foot.

The robbery remains under investigation.

An area man is dead after a one-vehicle crash in Morgan County early this morning.

According to the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says around 9 a.m. 66-year-old, Gary Combs of Beverly, was northbound on Ohio 60 near mile post 3, when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

According to the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol a man is dead after a one-vehicle crash in Morgan County.

Dispatch reports that the incident occurred on Ohio 60 near mile post 3 at approximately 9:06 a.m.

The male  driver was reportedly driving a Kia mini van and died on scene.

The accident is currently under investigation and details will be released as the become available.

One Morgan County polling location will see improvements thanks to the Secretary of State's Office.

The Center Township Fire Department received over $2,000 to install a 20 by 30 foot parking area that contains two accessible parking spaces, a small sidewalk and step. It also provides funs to put in striping and vertical signage.

Another area fair is gearing up and preparing for fun, food, games and entertainment!

The 161st Morgan County Fair, in McConnelsville, starts Tuesday and continues through Saturday. On Monday, fair board members, traveling fair personnel and other involved fair community members where setting up the fairgrounds for a week of activities.

A Zanesville man is being charged in connection with a burning body found in Morgan County last month.

Muskingum County Prosecutor, Mike Haddox says Shaquille Davis,19 is on the loose tonight and is considered armed and danngerous.  He is accused in the death of Phillip Lawrence Kimbro Jr,24 .

Authorities in Morgan County say a body discovered earlier this week has been identified as that of a recent shooting victim.

According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, investigators identified 36-year-old John Davis III through fingerprints and tattoos.

His body was found Wednesday at the edge of a creek near Bald Eagle Road in Windsor Township.

A preliminary autopsy report shows that Davis died of a single gunshot wound...
