A Cambridge man will spend more than four decades in prison for the murder of a 21-year-old.

Wednesday in Guernsey County Common Pleas Court, 45-year-old Michael Smith was sentenced to 41-years-to-life in prison. Smith was found guilty earlier this month of murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, grand theft and having weapons under disability.

Authorities say in March of 2011, Smith shot and killed Kyle Carter near the intersection of North 9th Street and Stewart Avenue....

A Zanesville woman is sentenced to 18 months in prison on an obstruction of justice charge stemming from the murder of a local man.

22-year-old Jasmine Lakich appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday where she was sentenced on that charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
 

The obstruction of justice charge was in connection to the search for Joey Hampton.

The jury reached a verdict Monday in the case against Terrell Nowlin, who was facing nine charges in connection with the July 2010 murder of Tyler Hardin.

"Mr. Nowlin, having been convicted by the jury in regards to eight of the nine charges, the court hereby orders the bond previously set in this case be revoked." Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Judge, Mark Fleegle explained to Terrell Nowlin, "You will remain in the custody of the Sheriff."

A woman admitted in court Monday to obstruction of justice in connection with the murder of a Zanesville man.

22-year-old Jasmine Lakich of Zanesville admitted to the felony, which is tied to the search for Joey Hampton. Hampton was charged with the murder of Donte Wolford in September. He went on the run for a month and was apprehended in Florida.

Authorities say Lakich was in the company of Hampton five days after the murder in Indiana.

Two bodies, discovered in different parts of the state, are both suspected victims of the Craigslist shooters.

The Noble County Sheriff's Office says the body of a white male was discovered Friday in a shallow grave in Stock Township.

This is the same area where 51-year-old David Pauley of Norfolk, Virginia was found shot to death in a shallow grave earlier this month. And where a South Carolina man was shot.

A Zanesville man is currently in the Muskingum County Jail after being indicted Wednesday for the murder of his 10 month old son.

Detective Sgt. Ric Roush said that 29-year-old Joseph Miller of Zanesville was arrested Thursday afternoon without incident and will be arraigned in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court next Wednesday. He's charged with one count of murder and one count of second degree felony child endangering.

A Zanesville man convicted in the murder of his infant son learns his fate in court Monday.

29-year-old Dale Wright appeared before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle where he was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison on charges of murder and child endangering.
 

A Muskingum County Jury found Wright guilty in June in the death of his 5-month-old son Dash.
 

The child died on August 3rd of 2010 at his home on the East Pike as a result...

Dale Wright has been found guilty of murder and child endangering.

During Wednesday's court proceedings the Defense emphasized to jurors the fact that Wright never failed to cooperate with authorities.

Wright was charged with one count of murder and one count of child endangering in the death of his five-month old child, Dash last August. The child died of blunt force trauma to the head.

One man is dead after a domestic dispute in Harrison Township. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz identifies the victim as 56-year-old Donald L. Mchenry.  He lived at the scene of the shooting.

Sheriff Lutz says deputies were called to 660 Irish Ridge Road around 10:30 Wednesday night. Upon their arrival,  they found  Mchenry lying in the front yard of the home.

Bond is set at $1million for an Indiana man charged with a Licking County murder.
 

Court records show 30-year-old Mark Valentino made his initial court appearance Tuesday in Licking County Common Pleas Court.
 

Valentino was indicted in March on multiple counts including aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery and grand theft in connection with the death of 55-year-old Hershel Roberts.
