A Columbus man charged in connection with a Zanesville murder  appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Friday for a procedural hearing.

Prosecutor Mike Haddox says attorneys for 24-year-old Terrell Nowlin were in court and presented Judge Mark Fleegle with about 40 different motions.

He says one of the motions included having the media barred from pre-trial hearings in the case which Judge Fleegle denied.

A preliminary hearing took place Friday for two Guernsey County murder suspects.

24-year-old Sara Willey of Buffalo and 36-year-old James Dunikowski Junior of Tennessee appeared in Cambridge Municipal Court where  a judge ruled that both of their cases will now go to Common Pleas Court.

Two people charged in connection with Guernsey County's first murder of 2011 appeared in court today for a bond hearing.

Court officials say bond was set at $500,000 for both 24-year-old Sara Willey of Buffalo, Ohio and 36-year-old James Dunikowski Junior of Tennessee.

Authorities said Tuesday the event's leading up to the Sunday murder of a Zanesville man may have begun in Muskingum County.

Detectives at the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office have been following up on leads into the death of 35-year-old Jason Miller. The sheriff won't speculate on what the motivation was for killing the man.

Two suspects are arrested in the death of a Zanesville man, who went missing more than a week ago.

Authoriites in Licking County say they have arrested a person of interest in connection with the murder of a Granville area man.
