A Zanesville man charged with murder is arraigned Wednesday.

26-year-old Reese Bowers pleaded not guilty in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court in front of Judge Mark Fleegle.
 

Reese was indicted last week by a grand jury on two counts of murder with a firearm specification, one count each of voluntary manslaughter, having a weapon under disability,improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and one count of tampering with evidence.

A Newark man receives a sentence of 19 years to life in prison in connection with a murder last summer.
 

According to court documents, 34-year-old William Snyder appeared in Licking County Common Pleas Court Monday where he pleaded guilty to aggravated murder, murder and aggravated burglary.
 

Snyder was arrested along with four co-defendents last August in connection with the stabbing death of 25-year-old John Stouffer.

A Newark woman will spend at least 20 years in prison for a murder last August.

Wednesday in Licking County Common Pleas Court 29-year-old Beth Doty pled guilty to one count of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary.

Doty is believed to be the organizer of a group that stabbed 25-year-old John Stouffer to death August 24 on West Harrison Street in Newark.

A family is still searching for answers in the murder of Priscilla Dawn Hickman.

Hickman was found strangled to death in her heath home January 18, 2009. Her case remains unsolved and now Hickman's two sisters, Michelle Laverty and Rosanna Root, are raising awareness about her murder.

The mother of a murdered child is using the Internet to keep her daughter's killer behind bars.

Sara West was brutality sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered by Billy Shafer in 1993. Now Tracy Hickman, Sara's mother, is using the website BlockParole.com to help send a message to the parole board. Billy is set to go up for parole in early February. The father of a convicted murder is speaking out to keep his son behind bars.

Danny Shafer is the father of Billy Joe Shafer. The Ohio Supreme Court is upholding a murder charge.

Ronald Hendrickson was convicted back in August of 2008 in the stabbing death of Jodi Blankenship. It happened at Blankenship's Fort Street home in Nelsonville. The two were Hocking College students at the time.

The Athens County Prosecutor's Office says Blankenship was stabbed multiple times.

Zanesville Police are still searching for more information in connection with a murder Friday evening.

It happened at 1117 Blue Avenue.

Police Det. Sgt. Ric Roush says an autopsy was performed Sunday confirming 25 year old Brandon Smith died of gunshot wounds.

"The motive for this we believe may have been a robbery," said Roush. "There was some drugs and drug paraphernalia also found at the victim's home at the time of the incident too."

A Muskingum County teenager convicted of murder nearly two decades ago will soon be up for parole, but the victim's grandmother is making it her duty to keep him behind bars.

On Feburary 14th, 1993, Sara West, 5, was brutally raped, tortured and murdered by her babysitter Billy Joe Shafer, 16. He was found guilty of aggravated murder.

The Morgan County teenager who pled guilty to the beating death of a Malta woman was sentenced today to life in prison.

Morgan County Prosecutor Mark Howdyshell says 18-year-old Travis Lee Fischer appeared in Morgan County Common Pleas Court before Judge Dan Favreau.  Fischer is not eligible for parole for 30 years.

Fischer plead guilty earlier this month to aggravated murder, rape, aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and arson in the death of 35-...
