It's the oldest continuously running marching band show in the state of Ohio.

The 48th annual Bonanza of Bands was held at Sulsberger Stadium in Zanesville, with 18 marching bands competing. While most of the students were from area schools, some also traveled up from Marietta and Pickerington as well.

Some local residents at Zane Landing Park are taking a step back in time.

The Simcox Big Band performed a free concert that had many tunes dating back to the 1940's and 1950's. Dan Kocher of Zanesville says it was nice to pull up a chair and enjoy music that was popular when he was a teen.

Students were singing along and clapping their hands today at Hopewell Elementary School. They call themselves the Alato Trio and they're an outreach educational group as well as a performance trio. Music Director of the Southeast Symphony Orchestra and a member of the group, Laura Schumann, says that children need great music.

Students and musicians at Muskingum University played beautiful music Sunday afternoon to commemorate a well-loved professor.

Doctor William Schlacks passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of the school year.
