The Muskingum County Community Development Director met with County Commissioners Monday.

An unfortunate accident for Linda Regula, the Democratic Candidate for Muskingum County Commissioner this weekend has her in the hospital.

Regula attended her granddaughter's wedding Saturday, and immediately following the ceremony, she was lining up for pictures in the church's basement when she didn't see a raised portion of the floor and fell to the ground breaking her hip.

Pro Act met with the Muskingum County Commissioners Thursday morning.

A representative was there to talk about the Prescription Discount Card Program. Pro Act works with counties and municipalities across the nation to offer the program to area residents.  Muskingum County Officials want to share with residents the goals and plans for the future of an area bridge. 

The Muskingum County Commissioners along with Muskingum County Engineer Doug Davis will speak about the Philo-Duncan Falls bridge during a public meeting on Thursday, November 13.

Starlight Industries is planning a renovation on its Zane Street building.

Starlight had 65 employees on waivers for 18 months and they are now back. The company is renovating to add necessary office space for those extra employees. Superintendent, John Hill, met with the Muskingum County Commissioners today to get approval for the project.

There is a new senior housing development in the works.

Valley View Place looks to help provide an aging population with affordable senior housing. Michael Hood of the Muskingum County Community Action Committee met with the county commissioners this afternoon to give an update on the project.

Muskingum County Commissioner's stand by their decision to not authorize the county engineer to work on a shelter house for a local baseball league.

An intense discussion about plans for a shelter house for Y-city Youth Baseball took place at Muskingum County Commissioners.

Advisor LT Kearns and Treasurer Mike Whiteman said that engineering estimates for a shelter house are running between $1,500-$2,000. It's money the youth league doesn't have.

They asked Commissioner Todd Sands to approach County Engineer Doug Davis to see if he'd draw up the plans. Davis said he'd do so, if commissioners gave their blessing.

The Muskingum County commissioners were supposed to be presented with multiple bids for road resurfacing in both Philo and Dresden Monday morning.
