The Muskingum County Commissioners are considering new investment options.

On Thursday, the commissioners met with Steven Conn and Francine Swiger from Huntington Bank.  Commissioner Jerry Lavy said the county does not have any bonds maturing in the next few months.

The Muskingum County commissioners are always looking for ways to save money, and an idea presented on Thursday could help.

Muskingum County planning commission director Andrew Roberts spoke to the commissioners about a central paper store.  He said paper could be bought on sale in large quantities and put into storage for the county.

Ohio public employees will be receiving information about a deferred compensation program.

Account Executive Jason Brown met with the Muskingum County commissioners on Monday to discuss the details of the program.

The search for a new superintendent for the Muskingum County Home might take a little longer than expected.

The county commissioners held a public hearing on Monday to discuss the future of the home.  Commissioner Jerry Lavy said the proposal deadline will move from August 31st to September 15th.

The State Treasurer is trying to stimulate growth in small business and agricultural communities.

The Muskingum County Commissioners met Thursday to discuss the 2012 budget.

Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill is looking to be the next State Representative for Muskingum and Coshocton counties.
