Scholarship Deadlines

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) - The Muskingum County Community Foundation says the deadline for more than $60,000 worth of scholarships is tomorrow, April 1st. Any students interested in applying can visit MCCF between 4 P.M. And 7 P.M. today and tomorrow to turn in applications or get assistance applying.

Money is available to better your education. The Muskingum County Community Foundation has thousands of scholarship dollars to give away this year.

April first is the deadline for 11 scholarship applications. Both high school seniors and students already enrolled in college can apply. Director of educational services at the Community Foundation, Heather Sands, said the scholarships aren't just for the 4.0 students.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) - Avondale youth center employee, 35-year-old Rodney Curtis is facing over 70 sex charges involving a minor. He was arrested Friday. According to Prosecutor Mike Haddox the victim is a 15-year-old female.

The Community Youth Foundation wants you to apply for their grant competition.

The grant has been given out for 3 years now and is open to all non-profits in Muskingum County. Director of Donor Services and Community Youth Foundation (CYF) Advisor, Juliet Lacy told us how much the grant is worth.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation's 30th annual Groundhog Day Auction is coming later this week.
