ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The Pieceable Quilters Guild is holding a two day quilt show and expo at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

Starting Saturday, 105 Pieceable members will have 322 quilts on display to be viewed and judged. Vicki Kinnan said this event is about quilting and learning. Kinnan said they want to be able to get the younger generations interested in quilting so that they can pass on the helpful tips they've learned along the way.

In coordination with 'Operation Feed' the local postal service held its 24th Annual 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive on Saturday, May 14th.

Local postal workers picked up non-perishable food items donated from the public of Muskingum County.

The 2nd Annual Muskingum County Fairgrounds 5k took place on Sunday at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the event are going towards the renovations of the fairgrounds restrooms along with chairs and tables for the veterans building.

Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller said one person is in the hospital after a stabbing incident at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Monday afternoon.

Miller said what began as a fight escalated. One person was stabbed and another received non-life threatening injuries. The Chief said the suspect in the stabbing ran toward lindbergh avenue and was pursued by a witness. Captain Tony Coury said the suspect was caught at a residence on Lindbergh Ave.

The twelfth annual Solid Gold Rib Fest took place at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Labor Day weekend.

The event is put on by the Minority Business Resource Network. Sixteen different delicious vendors were present to show off their best barbecuing. The CEO of the network, Ernest Bynum told us every year they hold a competition for the best ribs.

It's only been a couple weeks since the Muskingum County Fair, and now the fairgrounds will be transformed once again.  

Starting Friday at 4:00 p.m. the 12th Annual Solid Gold Rib Fest will take over a plot on the grounds. Each year, the Minority Business Resource Network hosts the event to raise money for scholarships and to get the community together.

The community came out to play cornhole for the Animal Shelter Society Saturday evening!

Veterans and campers were at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Friday afternoon for a retirement ceremony. 

Hundreds of campers with the Good Sam Camping Organization are at the fairgrounds all weekend, and to kick it off the organization retired several boxes of American Flags.

We have an update to bring you in the story of the dogs who were quarantined after officials feared they may have distemper.

What were once 28 pooches feared to be sick with a typically fatal disease, are now heading back to the pound. We spoke to Muskingum County Dog Pound volunteer, Doug McQuaid, who told us a vet stated they were the healthiest looking pound dogs she had seen in her duration.
