The community came out to play cornhole for the Animal Shelter Society Saturday evening!

Veterans and campers were at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Friday afternoon for a retirement ceremony. 

Hundreds of campers with the Good Sam Camping Organization are at the fairgrounds all weekend, and to kick it off the organization retired several boxes of American Flags.

We have an update to bring you in the story of the dogs who were quarantined after officials feared they may have distemper.

What were once 28 pooches feared to be sick with a typically fatal disease, are now heading back to the pound. We spoke to Muskingum County Dog Pound volunteer, Doug McQuaid, who told us a vet stated they were the healthiest looking pound dogs she had seen in her duration. The Ohio Good Sam Camp Club will be enjoying the outdoors for an upcoming good cause.

The Executive Director of the Muskingum County Center for Seniors in Muskingum County sets a tentative reopen date for the center.

After weeks of repairs, Ann Combs said if mother nature cooperates, construction could be finished by the first couple of weeks of April. Although activities cannot take place in the center until early April, Combs said the kitchen is up and running.

Ohio State Fans and fans of Big Brothers Big Sisters gathered together to raise money for the organization Friday Night.

The Buckeye Pep Rally was held at the Veterans Hall at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. Tickets for the event could be bought ahead of time or at the door.  The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department and other area partners held a flu shot clinic Thursday.

This year was the year of the goat at the Annual Farm City Day at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

The 20th annual event took place Saturday morning from nine to one. Many different breeds of goats made it to the fairgrounds. Dee Welsh is a member of the Muskingum County Goat Committee, and she brought four of her eleven goats to the event.

Elephants, Camels and donkeys don't even begin to cover all that the Carson and Barnes Circus has brought to Zanesville.

Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. as well as Thursday at the same times, the circus will have shows at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. The circus will also have events leading up to the shows like pony rides, elephant rides and of course clowns on the midway.

The Zane Trail Riders held their first ever community swap meet on Saturday.

Bikers from all over the county met at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds to trade a variety of motorcycle related items.

"There's a lot of vendor tables with lots of motorcycles things, there is some used bikes and just a little bit of everything down here, anything motorcycle related, " said Member Trent Meeks.

Meeks says they hope to raise more than $1,000 for charity through the event....
