The John McIntire Library commemorates the 1913 Great Flood. The hour long presentation of slides and commentary was presented by Tom Brown, a Zanesville resident.

"Zanesville was just devastated with all the water and such and it's just a story that needs to be told, what our grandparents had to go through," said Gary Allen, who contributed to the presentation.

The library will also be commemorating the 1913 Flood by unveiling the flood markers next Saturday at 1p.m....

Some members of the community are getting a look into what life was like in Zanesville 200 years ago.

As a part of the "1810 project," the Muskingum County Pioneer and Historical Society gave the community an opportunity to listen to historian Ray Swick paint a picture of life during Zanesville's reign as state capital.
