The Port has around $93,000 in its general fund. The board has projected that while things are running smoothly money will get very tight towards the end of the year. The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority takes steps to sell a piece of Eastpointe property.
At Wednesday's meeting the Port Board authorized Executive Director Mike Jacoby to enter into an agreement with CB Richard Ellis, the largest North American brokerage firm. The hope is they'll be able to help sell the Job Ready Site at Eastpointe.

Due to the economic downturn the port is keeping tight reigns on spending in the upcoming budget year, as they prepare preliminary numbers for the auditor.

The Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority has named its new Executive Director. He is Mike Jacoby, who used to be the Port Authority Executive Director in Marietta. He replaces Jerry Nolder who left to take a job running Bloomer Candy Company in Zanesville. The annoucement was made this morning at a special Port Authority board meeting. More details to come.
Muskingum County Port Authority members are approving the resignation of Executive Director, Jerry Nolder.
Nolder submitted his letter of resignation at a meeting this morning, saying he has accepted a CEO position at the Bloomer Candy Company.
Nolder has been an active member of the Port Authority for about five years. One of his biggest contributions to the city of Zanesville and Muskingum County is the development of the East Pointe Business Park.
