 Human trafficking is a 10 billion dollar industry in the United States.

'Anchored for Justice' hosted a human trafficking awareness event today at Ohio University Zanesville. The day featured food, vendors, a mime performance, and speakers. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz was the key note speaker. He said that he came to represent law enforcement's role in the growing problem.

The long Memorial Day holiday weekend is upon us and Muskingum County is doing its part to decrease the number of fatalities related to not buckling up.

The 'Click-it or Ticket' campaign aims to remind drivers of the seat belt laws that have been in effect for almost 30 years. Sheriff Matt Lutz, Lieutenant Matt Boyd, and community leaders gathered on broadcast hill today to talk about the campaign. Lutz said law enforcers are just trying to keep everyone safe.

Maysville High School students got a few minutes away from the classroom Monday to get a lesson of another kind.

That lesson being to avoid distracted driving. Two local volunteer fire departments and area law enforcement agencies set up a head on collision in the school's parking lot.
