A two vehicle accident occurred on Pinkerton Road Friday afternoon.

The call for the collision came in shortly before 3PM Friday. It closed the road at the scene for around 25 minutes. The injuries sustained to the individuals in the crash were minor, and no transportations were needed. Trooper Todd Henry of the Ohio State Highway Patrol explains what happened.

Around 5:30 p.m. Monday evening, a call came into the Fairfield County 911 services from a suspected male claiming to have a bomb and hostages at 243 North Columbus Street in Somerset.

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says that they were led to believe that the supposed bomb was propane in nature.

Summer is all about road trips and vacations but it's also important to remember safety in the midst of all the fun.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says a search warrant leads to drugs and weapons. Lutz says around 8 p.m. Friday the department conducted a search at 1333 Clover Street, Apartment B in hopes of finding stolen firearms.

There was a bomb threat made this morning at Maysville Middle School, this was the second threat of the year. The first time was in mid January.

Maysville Director of Safety, Ric Roush, said that at about 10:30, a student notified school officials of a written threat on the bathroom wall in the middle school. Sheriff Lutz says three 17-year-old Maysville High School students are in custody for playing a prank on a friend involving air-soft pellet guns. At 9:45 this morning, the sheriff's office received a call reporting what appeared to be a robbery involving three males carrying guns into a trailer and a description of their vehicles. Two Muskingum County Sheriff's Department officer's developed an idea to make their job easier and more efficient. Justin Thompson and Tim Maheney, owners of "T+M Tactical" have designed the "Tactical Light Glove." The flame-resistant gloves have LED lights sewn into them to give people visibility while keeping their hands available to perform other tasks. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is investigating a gas station robbery that occurred early Friday on Maysville Pike.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says it happened at the Duke-BP around 1:15 a.m. Lutz says the suspect is described as a white male with thin build. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie and dark pants. The man pulled-out a knife and demanded money from the clerk before fleeing the scene.
