The Community Health Fair offered free health screenings and displayed equipment that can help track loved ones who suffer from dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Project Lifesaver is designed to locate missing people suffering from dementia, Autism and down syndrome who often wander off and get lost. An accident in Perry Township reduced Interstate 70 east to one lane.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office said that a semi went into the median and a big rig tow was called in to remove the semi.

No injuries were reported. The accident took place between the Sonora Road exit and Norwich.

A new high security building just outside Columbus has cameras, cages, and a giant fence built to hold dozens of exotic animals temporarily.

It's a result of the new Ohio law established by Governor Kasich, that requires owners to register exotic animals, that came about after Terry Thompson of Muskingum County released dozens of bears, mountain lions and tigers in 2011.

Local law enforcement work to tie a robbery suspect to other open cases within the county.

With assistance from the Muskingum County Sheriff's the Zanesville Police have arrested 37-year-old Teddie Hunter. The Muskingum County Sheriff releases its crime stats for the year of 2012.

This past year the office worked more than 700 cases and made more than 270 arrests. The sheriff said they also confiscated more than $650,000 in drugs. In 2012 they also had over 300 burglary related crimes with a clearance rate of 19 percent. The sheriff said those types of cases are some of the hardest to solve, due to lack of evidence and information.

After spending the last week collecting Hurricane Sandy Relief Items, the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is ready to leave for the East Coast.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is collecting items to deliver to those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The idea to help the people hit hardest by the storm came from June's weather that left thousands in our area and Ohio without power. Deputy Jay Lawhorne remembers the help he received and those who came to his rescue when he was without power . Now he and others want to return the favor.

A high speed pursuit through two counties ends with one person being transported to the hospital.

Muskingum County Sheriff's Deputies said it began around midnight Thursday when they were attempting to stop a 2002 Toyota on State Route 40 east of Zanesville for a traffic offense.

A routine drug search takes place at Zanesville City Schools.

Wednesday, the Zanesville Police and Muskingum County Sheriff's Office took part in a search of lockers and cars at Zanesville High and Middle Schools. Three K-9's swept the building and parking lot for any traces of drugs.

"The dogs did hit on a couple of cars," explained Student Services Coordinator Kevin Appleman. "We did find a little bit of residue, but nothing to alarm anyone about."

The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is on the search for a man believed to be behind a string of robberies near Coshocton.

Sheriff's Lieutenant Dean Hettinger said 34-year old Paul Smith of Coshocton is wanted in connection with several daytime home burglaries in Keene Township.

Hettinger said while searching some property, deputies believed Smith was hiding in a house trailer, which lead to the man hunt.
