Muskingum County's Child Support Enforcement is educating residents throughout August on how emotional, financial and medical support play into the success of a child.
This month is Child Support Awareness month in Ohio. During the month the lobby of the Eastpike facility is decorated in a treasure theme to help educate the community. One employee said that sometimes people don't complete understand the role of their department and that they do offer a lot of free services.

A routine traffic stop led to the discovery of seven illegal aliens in Muskingum County.
Sheriff Matt Lutz said one of his deputies pulled over a vehicle with Arizona registration on Interstate 70 just after midnight on Friday.
"Upon conducting his investigation into that case, he had seven Hispanic males in the vehicle," said Lutz. "The officer also had a K-9 check the vehicle, and the dog alerted to the vehicle as well for drug activity."
