Officials with the Muskingum County Water Department say a boil advisory that was issued for the Sonora area has been lifted.
It is also affected customers in the Bellview and Terrace Shores area as well as residents to the east of the Muskingum River
The boil advisory was issued Wednesday evening following a water main break.

The Muskingum County Water Department reports that a water main break is affecting service for a large number of customers.
The break occurred in the Sonora area where many customers are currently without service. It is also affecting customers in the Bellview and Terrace Shores area. Residents in this area and to the East of the Muskingum River are under a boil advisory until further notice. The Muskingum County Water Department said they'll begin flushing hydrants on Monday, October 5.
The hydrant flushing will take place until Friday. Areas affected include:
Chandlersville Road from Carlwick to Chandlersville: including all side streets Cutler Lake Road South 60 to Gaysport: and all side streets including Shaver, Buttermilk, Rockville and Gaysport Hill Road

A water main break on Pinecrest Drive has forced Muskingum County Water officials to issue a boil advisory .
Water Department Manager Don Madden says the areas affected are west of the Pinecrest water storage tank which includes the Timber Run Subdivision, Walnut Hills Subdivision and the Villages of Mt. Sterling and Gratiot.
The boil advisory does not affect areas along the West Pike or old National Road.
Madden says the advisory is in effect until further notice.

The Muskingum County Water Department has issued a boil alert for some of their customers.
The boil advisory is currently in place for customers on Holbein Drive, Dillon Dam Road, Twin Ponds Drive, Sundown Drive and Eden Park.

The Muskingum County Water Department announces water will be shutoff Monday to customers on Melon Drive.
Officials says crews will be connecting new water lines in that area beginnning at around 8:30 a.m..
A boil advisory will be in effect once water is restored.
Customers should check water for discoloration before doing laundry.

The advisory for the Kenlo Woods subdivision in Nashport has been lifted.

The Muskingum County Water Department announced a boil advisory early Wednesday morning for residents in the Kenlo Woods subdivision in Nashport.
Officials said customers will be notified when the boil order is lifted. Until then, residents are urged to boil all water before drinking, brushing teeth, etc.

Some Muskingum County residents can expect to spend part of Monday without water.
The Muskingum County Water Department will shut off service Monday, October 7 around 9a.m. due to the extension of water lines.
Areas affected include all of Holbein Drive and all of Twin Ponds subdivision.
Once water is restored a boil advisory will be in effect.
Customers should check their water for discoloration before doing laundry.
