The Muskingum County Water Department has issued a boil alert for some of their customers. 

The boil advisory is currently in place for customers on Holbein Drive, Dillon Dam Road, Twin Ponds Drive, Sundown Drive and Eden Park.

The Muskingum County Water Department announces water will be shutoff Monday to customers on Melon Drive.

Officials says crews will be connecting new water lines in that area beginnning at around 8:30 a.m..

A boil advisory will be in effect once water is restored.

Customers should check water for discoloration before doing laundry.

The advisory for the Kenlo Woods subdivision in Nashport has been lifted.

The Muskingum County Water Department announced a boil advisory early Wednesday morning for residents in the Kenlo Woods subdivision in Nashport.

Officials said customers will be notified when the boil order is lifted. Until then, residents are urged to boil all water before drinking, brushing teeth, etc.

Some Muskingum County residents can expect to spend part of Monday without water.

The Muskingum County Water Department will shut off service Monday, October 7 around 9a.m. due to the extension of water lines.

Areas affected include all of Holbein Drive and all of Twin Ponds subdivision.

Once water is restored a boil advisory will be in effect.

Customers should check their water for discoloration before doing laundry.

The Muskingum County Commissioners sat down with the Muskingum County Water Department to discuss ways to provide service to outlining areas.

The Muskingum County Water Department will shut off water to some of its customers Thursday.

The water department said that shut off will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until work is complete. Crews will be replacing a water valve. Once water is restored a boil advisory will be in effect.

The areas affected include:

-Sunset

-Traci

-Dogwood

-Diana

-Sundale (south of route 40 to the railroad tracks)

The Muskingum County Water Department has issued a boil advisory due to a water line break.

The department said that all customers that were without water pressure as a result of a water line break on Jersey Ridge Road should boil their water. The advisory affects the area west of Licking Road, including all of the West Pike and side roads.

Muskingum County Commissioners met with city and county water officials in an effort to add additional connecting lines between the two water supplies.

The proposed locations would add a more permanent connection to either Richards or Coal Run roads.

Residents of Mount Sterling and Gratiot are on their way to being connected to Muskingum County's water supply.

The county has been working with the village of Mount Sterling to replace its existing water supply with a new water line.  Muskingum County Projects Director Don Madden said once that decision was made, Ohio EPA asked the county if it would extend service to the Gratiot area because of contamination problems.
