It's no secret that money is tight in Muskingum County, but agencies continue to work with the commissioners to make ends meet.

Representatives from the Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District discussed its 2013 preliminary budget.  Administrator Lisa Crock said it's getting tougher to cut costs.

A retirement party was held Thursday for a well known local Program Administrator.

Dick Sorg, from the Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District says after nearly forty years, retirement hasn't really sunk in yet, but he is excited for what the next forty years have to offer.

A well known figure in the Zanesville community has announced his retirement.

After nearly 40 years with the Muskingum Soil and Water District, Program Administrator Dick Sorg will be retiring effective July 29th. Sorg says some of the greatest satisfaction with his career over the years has been helping landowners solve their problems.

Muskingum County will soon have two thousand new trees.

The Rockies Express Pipeline donated around two-thousand trees worth more than four-thousand dollars, that were left over from their restoration efforts in the county.
