New Lexington pitcher and first baseman Will Poling signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career at West Virginia Wesleyan College. The Bobcats play in the Mountain East Conference.
Poling is hitting .413 on the season with 26 RBI's, 20 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. On the mound, Poling is 5-4 with a 2.41 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 75 1/3 innings. The southpaw is a three-year letterman for the Panthers.
The John Glenn Muskie basketball team was honored by State Representative Brian Hill (R-Zanesville) and Senator Troy Balderson in Columbus this afternoon an Ohio House session on their state championship season.

Today was the beginning of practices for this year's North-South All-Star Game. The contest will feature Zanesville linebacker Leo Crosby, Tri-Valley defensive lineman Hunter Polk and Zanesville head coach Chad Grandstaff.
Kickoff will be April 30 from Welcome Stadium. The Division 4-7 game will begin at 11 am and the Division 1-3 game will begin shortly after at 4 pm.
The Maysville baseball and softball teams took on West Muskingum and defeated the Tornadoes in both sports. The baseball team won 10-8 while softball won 10-0 in 5 innings. Senior hurler Madison Riggle threw a complete game while also belting a home run for the Lady Panthers.
Maysville senior Kaleigh Bennett signed an official letter of intent this morning to bowl collegiately at Wright State.
Bennett has had a stellar bowling career, including a top 20 finish in this year's state tournament. Bennett was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio this season after posting a score of 587 points in a 3-game series.

West Muskingum and Muskingum Unviersity both swept their opponents this afternoon. High school baseball officially began today, as the Tornadoes took on the Caldwell Redkins. West won the first game 5-4 and the second game 13-5. Muskingum rallied to defeated Wilmington in 10 innings the first game 6-5 while cruising to victory in the second game of the twin bill 16-4 behind 4 RBI's from right fielder Vayden Wood.
