 A massive fire broke out around 7:30 Friday evening on coopermill road. 

National Trails Fire Department, Falls Township, Newton Township and South Zanesville all responded to the blaze which destroyed the home at 7240 Coopermill Road.

At this time there is no word on how the fire started or if there were any injuries. It took crews about 2 hours to get the fire under control.

A mobile home is a total loss following an early morning fire.

National Trails Assistant Chief Steve Dupler said that the structure was fully involved when crews arrived around 3:30 Wednesday morning.

"It looks like it started in the middle somewhere of the mobile home," explained Dupler. "There was some question whether on the initial dispatch whether anyone was inside or not, so we did our best to determine that."

A dump truck rolled over late this afternoon, pinning the driver.

The accident occurred around 5 p-m on Pleasant Valley Road. The driver, Jerry Swingle, 80-years-old of Zanesville was traveling north on Pleasant Valley Road towards State Route 146 when the front right tire blew. the ford truck traveled off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and landed in a large ditch, pinning Swingle.

Fire erupted at 3720 Coopermill Road around 4 p.m. this afternoon destroying a local family's home

Firefighters from three departments were called to a fire Friday afternoon in Mount Perry.

The fire broke out around 3:30 at 1701 Mount Perry Road.

"When the first crew arrived they just saw a lot of smoke coming out of the house and the chimney. When we got an entry team in there we found a fire in the basement," said Steve Dupler, Assistant Chief National Trails Fire Department.
