The Licking County Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in an aggravated burglary in Newark.

The Newark Division of Police reports, around 1:00 a.m. on Oct. 1, suspects entered a home on the 100 block of N. 24th Street and struck a 61-year-old man with a crowbar several times while he was sleeping.

The Licking County Crime Stoppers are asking for your help regarding the theft of an ATV. 

They are offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone with information leading to an arrest in the theft of an ATV from a home in the 100 block of E. Channel St. in Newark.  According to a report from the Newark Division of Police, a suspect or suspects stole a Polaris four-wheeler parked on the property overnight on May 11, 2014.

A Newark woman was attacked early Monday morning and police continue to look for the attacker.

According to The Newark Division of Police, 19 year old Destiny Daniels told deputies around 7 a.m. she was walking from her apartment at 208 Hoover Street to her car to go to work. According to the Newark Division of Police, Newark police and fire responded to a crash on the SR 79 northbound ramp at 9:11 p.m. Friday evening.

Captain Craig Riley said in a statement that Richard Mitchell, 56, of Newark was driving northbound on SR 79 attempting to exit SR 16 westbound when Mitchell lost control of his Kawasaki motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail and lamppost.
