Newark Police said they've concluded their investigation into a subject that entered a local gas station with blood on his arms, clothing, legs and shoes.

Authorities said the subject entered the Circle K on West Church Street around 11:14a.m. Monday, when the clerk asked about the blood he made the comment, "You should see the guy in the back of the truck."

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a stolen credit card being used to purchase items at Walmart in Newark.

The Newark Division of Police reports around 10:30 am on March 19, a purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Wilwood Ave. A female suspect then used a stolen credit card from the purse to buy items at Walmart. A store security camera took pictures of the suspect.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000, for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a stolen credit card being used at two Newark stores.

The Newark Police Department is on the look out for a man wanted for assault and a potential escape charge.

Police said that Christopher Williams, of Newark,  is described as a white male, 6'3, 160lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He's currently has an active warrant for assault and is also wanted on a potential escape charge stemming from Williams escaping from Newark Police Officers custody on September 25.

Newark Police need help in catching those involved in a series of August business break-ins.

The break-ins took place between August 16 and 17th and against on August 24 through the 27th. Businesses affected included the Subway and Dairy Queen on North 21st Street, Jeff's Laundromat on Mount Vernon Road, Paco's Tacos on Cedar Street and Lee's Famous Recipe on North 21st Street.

Cash was taken from some of the businesses.

The Newark Police Department said that semi trucks aren't allowed on a Newark roadway during construction.

Public Information Officer Sergeant Scott Snow said that due to construction on State Route 13 there is no semi tractor trailer or large truck traffic permitted between State Route 16 to the south of Deo Drive to the north.

Trucks should use north 21st Street.

This construction is scheduled to continue through July 3rd.

Authorities search for a suspect in the theft at Newark High School.

Newark Police report that between April 15-16 a suspect or suspects stole two Ipads from a cabinet at the school.

The Licking County Crime Stoppers need your help in solving several cases.

The Newark Police Department reports that between February 17 and 19 there were several garage and shed break-ins in the area of Pierson Boulevard and nearby streets.

Items taken include power tools, electronic equipment and generators.

Newark Police are searching for a missing six month old child.

Police say Nicayla Jordan went missing after Licking County Children's Services was granted emergency custody of the baby on Wednesday.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Nicayla's mother, 25-year-old Amanda Jordan.

Police have also issued warrants for the child's aunt 20-year-old Rockell Hudson and 51-year-old Susan Allen, the child's grandmother.

A Newark Police Officer is recovering following an accident Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Steven Sarver said that Heath Police were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle near Calburn Street when they requested assistance from Newark Police Officer Michael Trotter.
