Newark residents are dealing with the aftermath of straight line winds that left thousands without electricity.

"All of the sudden it started raining and the windows actually looked black and then I heard this whooshing sound and there was no time for me to get on my feet to even attempt to get to the basement it happened so fast," said Resident Donna Stasel.

In a game that saw West Muskingum never trail in regulation, the Tornadoes just could not find enough power to knock off two-seeded Fort Frye in their Division III Sectional at Meadowbrook. The Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a theft from a Newark business.

Newark Police report overnight on December 29, 2010, someone stole a commercial air conditioning unit from Subway restaurant located at 335 Mt. Vernon Rd.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at (740)349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058.
